In the year 2007, SCSL took over a cooperative sugar factory namely Hemavathi SSK Limited on LROT basis from Govt., of Karnataka on 30 years lease period, presently having a crushing capacity of 1250 TCD. It is proposed to expand the above capacity with an additional 2250 TCD commensurate with cogeneration project of 18MW.
